Cherry Pie Recipe

1 No. 2 can Telephone Pitted Red Cherries
2 Tablespoons Flour
1 1/4 cups sugar

Line a pie tin with pastry. Drain the cherries, cover with sugar and let stand 15 to 20 minutes. Add flour to the Cherry juice and cook until somewhat thickened. Cool. Fill crust with cherries and pour the cold cherry juice over them.
Add extra sugar if needed. Adjust top crust and bake in moderate oven 40 to 50 minutes (350F). T he addition of one teaspoon lemon juice will bring out the cherry flavor. Serves 4 to 6.
