2 pounds beef chuck, cut in cubes
2 pounds onions, sliced
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons paprika
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 bay leaf
Trim fat from meat; brown meat on all sides in large kettle; add remaining ingredients (you need no water); cover tightly; reduce heat; simmer 2 1/2 hours, or until meat is tender. Serve with noodles.
